To make a 20 cm round cake use: 350 g self-raising flour 1 tbsp baking powder 400 g caster sugar 2 tbsp chocolate powder 120 g unsalted butter 240 ml buttermilk (cannot be substituted but can easily be homemade) 240 ml vegetable oil (not rapeseed or olive!) 1 tbsp vanilla extract 4 large eggs (separated yolks and whites) 1 tsp red colouring paste (gel will loose colour easier so you'll need more) 50 g white chocolate 20 ml double cream 250 g solid cream cheese (mascarpone) 10 ml whipping or double cream (optional) 100 g icing sugar 1 tbsp vanilla extract 350 g self-raising flour 1 tbsp baking powder 400 g caster sugar 2 tbsp chocolate powder 120 g unsalted butter 240 ml buttermilk (cannot be substituted but can easily be homemade) 240 ml vegetable oil (not rapeseed or olive!) 2 tbsp vanilla extract 4 large eggs (separated yolks and whites) 50 g white chocolate 30 ml whipping or double cream 250 g solid cream cheese (mascarpone) 100 g icing sugar 1 tsp red colouring paste (gel will loose colour easier so you'll need more)
